Kalakaua Gardens is located in Honolulu close to both Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. The project is the development of a 17 Floor, 200+ Unit over 130,000 Gross Square Feet Senior Care Facility, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing Care services. HPL has assembled an expert-team experienced in senior care development in Honolulu. The lead Architect is Architect Hawaii Limited, an experienced Honolulu based architectural firm that designed the renowned Kahala Nui Assisted Living Community in Honolulu. The General Contractor is Swinerton Builders, one of the largest high-rise construction company in Hawaii that also have a lot of medical facilities construction experience. The development is also partnering with Avalon Health Care of Utah for the day-to-day operation of the "community". HPL assembled a strong and powerful development team that consists of local expert consultants specialized in land use, licensing, legal matters, and interior design as well as in the marketing aspect of the development. Construction was completed in mid 2016 and operations were commenced in late 2016 after the essential licenses are obtained. Immediately after construction completion, the project immediately captured the attention of several national news organizations, including Wall Street Journal, Strategize Magazine and numerous local Hawaiian news media outlets and portrait Kalakaua Gardens is one of the trend-setter for the U.S. senior care industry.
